General Terms and Conditions

These general terms and conditions apply to all orders placed by private customers with Upgradia.

By placing an order, you agree to these terms. We kindly ask you to read and understand them carefully before completing your purchase.

Please note that Upgradia is not an agent or authorized service provider of Apple or Samsung.

Definitions

  • “Upgradia” refers to Upgradia

  • “You” refers to the customer placing an order.

  • “Terms” refers to these general terms and conditions.

  • “Upgradia Warranty” refers to the commercial warranty provided by Upgradia for its phones.

  • “Business day” refers to weekdays excluding weekends and official public holidays.

  • “FMI” refers to Apple’s “Find My iPhone” functionality.

  • “IMEI” refers to the International Mobile Equipment Identity number.

Customer Obligations


You are required to provide accurate and complete contact information, including your full name, billing and shipping address, a valid phone number, and email address.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information provided to Upgradia and liable for any costs resulting from incorrect data.

By placing an order, you agree to these terms and you confirm that you are legally authorized to be bound by these terms.

Your customer information is stored in Upgradia’s customer database and used for customer relationship management. More information on how your data is handled can be found in our Privacy Policy.

Products

Upgradia sells used and refurbished mobile phones. All phones are inspected and refurbished by Upgradia before being offered for sale. Devices are graded based on their cosmetic condition. When placing your order, you may select the desired model, color, storage capacity, and condition category.

As these are used and refurbished devices, Upgradia does not guarantee the original splash, dust, or water resistance (IP67 or IP68) is still applicable.

We make every effort to describe the condition and specifications of each product as accurately as possible.

Repairs and replacements are carried out using high-quality parts, which may include third-party components. For specific information about your device, please contact our customer service at info@upgradia.nl.
All repairs aim to restore the device as closely as possible to its original condition.

If you purchase an iPhone X, XR, XS, or newer, you may receive messages such as “Important Message” or “Unknown Part” on the lock screen, in notifications, or settings. These may appear when Upgradia has replaced certain components. See our Support Guide for more information.

Prices

All prices are inclusive of VAT, where applicable. Used devices often fall under the margin scheme for second-hand goods.

We offer free shipping on all orders within the Netherlands. Shipping options for other EU countries will be clearly displayed before you finalize your order.

Upgradia reserves the right to cancel an order in case of an obvious and significant pricing error — meaning a price so clearly incorrect that a reasonable consumer would recognize it as such.

Payments

Upgradia accepts the following payment methods:

The terms and conditions of the respective payment provider apply.
Upgradia reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order. In the event of payment issues, Upgradia may cancel the sale and request that the products be returned immediately.

Delivery

We currently only ship to countries within the European Union. Deliveries are carried out by PostNL or DHL.
You are responsible for providing correct and complete shipping details, including a properly formatted address and phone number.

Orders are processed within 1 business day after you receive your order confirmation. Delivery via PostNL or DHL usually takes 1–3 business days. Weekends and public holidays are not considered business days.

Delivery times are estimates and depend on the courier. Upgradia will make every effort to deliver on time, but is not liable for delays beyond its control, including incorrect information, strikes, weather conditions, pandemics, or shortages in transportation, energy, or staffing.

If you receive an incorrect or damaged product, you must notify Upgradia within 72 hours of delivery.

Returns

You have the legal right to return your product within 14 days. Upgradia guarantees a full refund if the product is returned in the same condition as received. If the product is damaged, Upgradia may return it to you or offer a paid repair service.

Refunds will be processed using the original payment method within 5 business days of receiving the returned product.
During busy periods, holidays, or exceptional circumstances, this may take longer. If a refund via the original method is not possible, an alternative solution will be offered.

You are responsible for secure and protective packaging of the product before returning it to Upgradia. Returns must be shipped using the method and to the address provided in the return instructions. You remain responsible for the item until it is received by Upgradia.

You must disable “Find My” before sending in the device. If FMI is still active upon receipt, the refund may be delayed.


Please note: Upgradia reserves the right to charge additional shipping or service fees if FMI is not disabled within one (1) month.
If
“Find My” is not disabled, the device will be returned to you without refund. Shipping costs in such cases are your responsibility.
If the device is not collected,
Upgradia accepts no further responsibility for the item.
